Class 

 

Welcome to the Renaissance Class/Group, a part of the Adult Ministries of Kingwood United Methodist Church 

Who We Are

The Renaissance SS Class is composed of young couples, many which have  young children (lap babies are welcome in class).  Our lessons and open forum discussions are scripture based and guided by David Hatcher. Our discussions usually concentrate on how we as individuals can apply biblical principles to strengthen our relationships with our spouses, families, and one another. Fellowship opportunities abound with men & women bi-monthly socials, class family outings and mission outreach.  Come check us out or contact claylawson@hotmail.com for more info.

Service
  • Class Financials – Jill Weller has put together a nice summary of class financials that is worth your time on Sunday mornings if you have questions.
  • Snacks - We are asking for two couples to bring refreshments on the first Sunday of every month.  If you’re interested in signing up for March, please let us know at kumcrenaissance@gmail.com.
  • Are you teaching the two-year-old’s this Sunday? – To help everyone remember what Sunday we signed up to help Laura in the two-year-old Sunday School class, please see the below schedule that is also posted on the class bulletin board.  If you’re not on the list and would still like to help, please email kumcrenaissance@gmail.com.

  • Young Dad’s Bible Study - Tuesday nights at 8:00pm.  Young Dad’s Bible Study presents "Alpha Lite" – For the next few weeks, the Young Dad's Bible Study will present a shortened version of the Alpha course...called Alpha Lite. If you have questions about God, the church, your faith and the role God plays in it all, Alpha is an incredible place to start. This group meets late after kids are in bed and studies together. They meet each Tuesday at KUMC’s K102. Contact Tony Vandenberge for info or just join them. You are ALWAYS welcome. For info on Alpha visit www.alphausa.org. 
  • Young Mom’s Bible Study Session Begins Feb. 4th – The young mom Bible study starts a new session this Wednesday at 9:30am with fellowship the half hour before.  The study begins Wednesday, February 4th and the cost is $15.00. Registration is requested so that materials and childcare arrangements can be made. Newborns are always welcome in class. For more information or to register, contact melinda.dodd@kingwoodumc.org or call the church office.
