What Happened in Class

    • 3/7 – Class was cancelled for today so that we could support our classmates by attending services at Lakeside United Methodist Church.  The service was wonderful and included:  praise songs, children’s church, scripture, and the sermon by Stephen Rhodes.  The congregations celebrated the end of the first service with cake and refreshments.  There were approximately 150 folks in God’s Eagle Springs house today.  Thanks again to everyone who came out to support the Carsons, Migls, Rhodes, Vitullis, and the rest of the new Lakeside congregation.  Lunch at Double Dave’s was yummy and looks to be perfect for future class or joint get together with those now at Lakeside.  We wish Lakeside and our classmates every happiness and blessing on this new journey of faith they are about to embark on!
  • 3/1 – Coy Bryant delivered another great lesson today.  Thank you Coy!  J  After class we enjoyed food and fellowship at Skeeters. Bibles were presented to the Migls, Vitullis, and Rhoades on behalf of the class.  These couples will be missed so much and we pray that many blessings will be bestowed upon them!  They are counting on us to show our support of their new journey of faith on March 8th as our class attends Lakeside UMC’s 10am service at Eagle Springs Elementary.

  • 2/22 – Coy Bryant delivered a great lesson on the history and significance of Lent.  Are you giving something up for lent?  If so, think about giving something up AND giving something of yourself…like volunteering your time or making a donation to an organization in need.

  • 2/15 – Today Travis Wood delivered a great lesson on the movie “Fireproof” and how we can all strive to make our marriages fireproof by putting God in the center of our lives.  I think many of us left class thinking of ways we can improve our relationship with God and our spouse
